Darjeeling Margarets Hope Black Tea
As low as $3.16/oz.
One of our best darjeeling teas! This tea has the sweet, brisk flavor characteristic of the region, a historic estate known for its award-winning tea. This is a second flush darjeeling, meaning it is picked from the second growth, or flush, of the tea plant.
There is a beautiful story associated with this tea. Margaret’s Hope estate is located in the Kurseong North valley of India and was established around 1865. In the 1930s the plantation owner visited the estate with his two daughters. The younger daughter, Margaret, fell in love with the area and hoped to return. Unfortunately she fell ill on her return trip home and died. In her memory her father changed the name of the plantation to Margaret’s Hope.
